I can definitely see you (youneedacat) as a waterbender for some reason. 

Although I do feel that any element’s “symbolism” can be separate from the actual Element.  And different cultures can have different symbolism.

If I had to guess for myself, probably an earthbender or waterbender.

Yeah symbolism may have been the wrong word. More like its nature and associations. I do have a strong connection to earth, but the earth I always think about in that context is in a temperate rainforest, so it’s completely bound up with water.
