Hynds Lodge Trail, Curt Gowdy State Park, Wyoming
This photo was actually taken earlier this May near Hynds Lodge in the Laramie Mountains in Wyoming. I had gone to camp with a group of geologists at their field camp and after a good breakfast I decided to wander off into the woods for a little morning stroll along a nearby trail. Mornings strolls like these are ones I remember as times when I was truly content to just breath in the morning air. Along the trail I ran into one of the geology professors and we stood by a large cliff of rock, discussing how the outcrop might have formed millions of years ago and enjoying the new day the forest brought us.
