The best health insurance out there.

Why is this on my dash?

Please tell vegetables to fix my asthma…
I’ll wait…

vegetables are a great cure for OCD and anxiety. Does wonders for my arthritis and asthma, too. (/sarcasm)

I eat lots of veggies
Why isn’t my asthma gone yet
Why isn’t my PTSD gone yet
help pls vegetables pls

What in obviously white hell is this?

who ever knew that all this time I could’ve just been eating more apples rather than taking my prescription medications!

…but for epilepsy diets you’re supposed to eat almost exclusively fat…
OH HEY HOW ABOUT PEOPLE STOP BEING ALL SANCTIMONIOUS ABOUT THEIR ABILITY TO EAT A SHITTON OF PRODUCE.

Oh yeah. Vegetables will totally cure asthma, bronchiectasis, movement disorders, muscular energy problems (actually anything with dextrose and ribose helps with those, so maybe a little, but also I need stuff that’s normally mostly found in red meat), spasticity, severe chronic pain, neuropathy, possible autonomic dysfunction, and the zillion other things I need actual health insurance to pay for stuff for. Also try getting loads of fresh vegetables on food stamps. If it weren’t for other food programs I’d be lucky to get much of any.

People really need to quit. As in quit instantly, right now, forever. Believing that you can just eat your way out of health problems and disability.

I recognize that people do this out of this unreasoning terror they have of the idea that for the most part, health is not determined by anything a person has control over. That eating right (which is not what most people think it is, and varies from person to person) and exercising only prevents (and only sometimes) a tiny number of health problems.

This terrifies them so they want a magical solution. Some action they can carry out that, they believe, gives them control over things nobody has control over. The problem is that once they start believing they have this magical solution, they believe everyone else’s poor health is their own fault.

Which is a great example of how force-fitting reality to match your fears, screws over all the people who’ve already experienced your worst fear. So just stop already.
