Weird Little autistic Things

teastainedcpt:

#1

why is my arm up in the air?

Been randomly doing that since adolescence, maybe earlier. I found references to things like that regarding an autism-related movement disorder I have (“parkinsonlike movement disorder associated with autism”, “autistic catatonia”, “autism-related movement disorder”, and probably other names by now).

Since the movement disorder looks to be just an amplification of motor traits autistic people often have to begin with, it’s probably just some of the so-called “posturing” that autistic people do anyway.
