[Dark brown, round cookies on a cookie sheet, then on a drying rack.]

These are eggless carob cookies I made in the middle of the night. I’m not allergic or anything, I just found carob powder in the cabinet and no eggs in the fridge and I’m not able to shop even if anything was open. I used vanilla yogurt instead of eggs, and carob powder instead of chocolate chips, in a chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Carob makes the consistency different but they turned out amazing anyway, really soft and chewy with only a slight hardness around the outside. And since it was eggless I was able to eat the dough straight, and that was good too. ^_^

Baking is like… the only thing I’m capable of doing right in a kitchen without fucking it up. (By fucking it up, I mean setting the kitchen and/or myself on fire, and things on that level of screwiness.) And I mean even fairly complicated yeast-bread stuff, my skills have always been excellent for my level of experience (as in, other people were begging me to bake them stuff ever since I started, even if they had been baking all their lives, and people who never lie to me about my abilities told me I’m really good). Unfortunately I don’t have the energy to bake often, much less the complicated shit, but when I do, I love doing it. And I love eating, and giving out to other people, the result.
