[A picture of a person climbing up a rock face with bushes and grasses in the cracks.]
This is me, climbing at the bottom of Wet Canyon. I gave my camera to my mom for safekeeping (Raven, my beloved was also there - I don’t know who took this).
The rocks were lovely, but I did have to circumnavigate around several lizards. ^_^
Notice the cane. Weirdly, climbing is so much easier than walking. There are so many places that my hands and feet “should” go. I can feel them. It feels like a conversation or partnership with the rock - instead of me trying to get movement out into the world on my own. And having 3 points of contact is very stable.
This is granite, a rock familiar to me. All sorts of mica in it too.
I was the same way about climbing things back when I was strong enough to do it.
