soilrockslove: This is a wild strawberry growing out of a crack in a rock - with a tiny palmful of soil around it’s roots.  There were a lot of wild strawberries and wild grapes down in the canyon.  The strawberry season was almost over - but I could tell by the number of those little leaves that grow on top of each strawberry - it had been a good season.  A lot of animals had been eating very well.  Since I saw a skunk, I imagine it was enjoying those strawberries. ^_^
