➸ No Clue: Final post about any opinions and then I’m done.I’ve been thinking...
And also - I think that if you start a conversation about someone about an issue, then it IS your job to educate that person. It’s not really ok to just initiate yelling at people that they’re horrible, refuse to explain what they did wrong, refuse to listen to anything they say, ignore their intentions, and tell them it’s not your job to educate them. Sometimes people try to start inappropriate or boundary boiling conversations, and they need to be told to stop, in suffienctly forceful terms that they do. But starting a conversation just to yell at and humilate someone, without having any actual intention to explain things to them, is completely different. It’s sadistic and it doesn’t help anything.Final post about any opinions and then I’m done.
I’ve been thinking about the whole “No one has to educate you” thing.
I used to be on the side of “No one has to educate you!” I got angry at allistic people being ignorant, at hearing people being ignorant, at everything. And I would respond…
I agree. I really don’t even feel comfortable trying to educate allistics anymore because of the way that many of us in the tag just jump down their throats.
WTF. I go away for… however long I’ve been away. And when I come back, half the conversations I find involve stuff I’ve been writing into this software I have for mapping out connections between things. But not being able to make into one big post. Weird, almost like stepping into a warp dimension or something, but cool.
Which software do you use? I have something I use, but it’s not *quite* good enough to plan writing and such — about the only purpose I’ve found it useful for is understanding disorganized lectures.
So if there is something better I’d like to know.
It’s called Ruminate. And it’s similar to mind mapping software. Except mind mapping software is usually fairly linear. You map from the center out to a clump and from that to another clump. There’s always a center and you can never draw lines every which way.
With this: No need for a center ever. Draw lines from any square-with-text to any other square-with-text. Squares don’t need lines drawn between them. They can just float. You can move squares around. You can color squares. I don’t think you can use photos. And you can attach web links to squares. You can number the squares and use it to turn them into an outline for writing an essay, although I never even close to tried.
Rectangles actually they’re not squares. It’s for iPad. Not sure if it’s for anything else but might be similar things out there.
I got this software specifically because these issues are too complicated for me to tackle alone. By far.
