WTF?! Brain, this isn’t okay.

I bit my tongue in my sleep and dreamed in graphic detail that it fell out. Including incredible pain and everything else including eventually passing out from blood loss while trying to find the cord for my communication device for when the ambulance came. It didn’t hurt nearly so much when I woke up as it did in the dream. Weirdly in the dream I had a memory of injuring it in the past a week before in a way that could sometimes lead to it falling out.

I don’t know why my dreams about certain things are so graphic and realistic. I’ve had dreams of tornadoes and nuclear disasters that contained weird details I had no way of knowing but were very accurate. In one case a tornado dream led to my noticing weird cloud rotation in real life and heading for cover. Maybe some things like that have been stored in animals instinctively or something because my cat had already headed for cover when I went looking for her. Instincts might explain some of the dreams too, although not the nuclear disaster ones. (Which are the most frequent and accurate of the lot. I had to look long and hard for personal accounts by Chernobyl and Hiroshima survivors to verify certain details. The dreams are split pretty evenly between bombs and meltdowns.)
