Yeah I think I actually did jump into that discussion thinking I could handle it just like you said. When it doesn’t actually fit how I see the world as working.

I see the “map” you see them building, as like a structure made out of Tinker Toys or something. With those round things as the groups of people and the sticks as the relations between them. And the real world is far too… alive, for that to work. Now I feel completely stupid for even trying to fit my head into that.
