Allistic privilege is never being given a ‘functioning’ label that decides how you get to interact with the world and that could get you institutionalized or killed.
(This is a reply to the statement in the title.) Actually lots of nonautistic people experience this. Especially disabled people, and even more especially cognitively, developmentally, or psychiatrically disabled people. Autistic people are just treated as a subset of each one of those, so we inherited the labeling practices common to all of them.
