Another thing about ideologies.

They don’t care about people. They divert you from noticing people. They divert you from noticing the harm that you do to people – at least if you’re doing the harm while serving the ideologies. And that includes doing harm to even the people the ideology appears to acknowledge are at more risk for harm. And always the harm also happens to you if you are doing the ideologies.

I’m not always able to defend myself against the harm done me, inadvertently, by the people holding on to the ideologies I happen to bump up against. (Not always intending to butt heads with them. It just happens, over and over, because of a lack of ideology on my part.) Because I have no ideology to give me an automatic way to describe the harm they are doing.

But I can say that every ideology I have gotten on the wrong side of, draws blood. And it’s not minor harm. And it’s not harm that doesn’t matter.
