I don’t like the concept of “gifted”
There’s this idea that there are gifted children and regular children.
And that it’s ok for regular children to be talked down to and given dull repetitive work, but gifted children are special and need to be taken seriously and given interesting and serious work.
I don’t think it works that way. And I think perpetuating the myth that it does is really harmful to all children, including the children who are good at and enjoy academics.
