My DPA doesn’t want me letting residents learn procedures on me again. And after what she said, I have to agree with her. I just… forgot somehow.

At my local hospital they have to ask your permission for residents to observe or participate in your medical procedures. I usually say yes because I know they need training. But after this, I will let them train on someone else. Then I can get just a straight trigeminal nerve block from a perfectly competent doctor.

Do you consistently remember that it’s possible to say no in that situation?

No. That’s why I have a DPA and never go to appointments alone.
