so i feel like whenever i have a cold my motor control goes out the window and i have a lot more difficulty processing what’s going on around me
does anyone else experience more brain problems when they get minor illnesses??
Thought I’d just reblog to signal-boost (I know I have parent followers) but then I remembered that colds make it hard for me to talk. So do injuries.
Yeah. And being tired.
Slept poorly last night. Looked really autistic all day today.
Yeah I have serious problems whenever I get sick.
It’s gotten worse ever since I experienced delirium about five years ago in the hospital. Ever since then, every single hospital stay has brought about delirium. Including a horrible five week stay in which I was severely delirious the entire time.
But more than that, every time I get sick, tired, too hungry, or in a lot of pain, I have symptoms of delirium. Delirium not just being hallucinations, although those happen too, but a variety of highly disconcerting cognitive problems that are quite different from the cognitive problems I have been used to since birth. Plus it amplifies existing cognitive problems.
So yeah. This cold has given me all kinds of problems. I went to the doctor two days ago and just the exertion of doing that meant I couldn’t think straight where I got home and got very scared and disoriented. It was rather terrifying.
