It is really disturbing reading these tags.

Particularly gastroparesis and chronic illness.

I keep seeing stories from people who aren’t getting even a tenth the treatment they should. And are therefore much sicker than I am now. But what makes it mind twisting is that if I was relegated to, for instance, one Zofran (of any strength) a day, I’d be dead of starvation or in the hospital or something on those lines. So they’re both sicker than I am and not sicker than I am at the same time. And that twists my brain around in knots. Probably because my brain is not working particularly well these days.

But I’m seeing so very many people not getting nearly enough of the treatment they need. People who could, unlike me, be out of bed and going to work potentially if they had what they needed. And they’re still trying to get out of bed and go to work even without the right treatment, and this makes them even sicker, and it could all be made so much better with treatment, but insurance and doctors are being asses, and just WTF.

I’m glad I’m getting treatment, but I wish other people were getting more. I wonder if they’ll have to get as bad as I did (eating nothing at all and ending up in the hospital) before they get treatment. Or if they won’t get treatment even then. I hate this country. Especially our current approach to healthcare. Ugh.
