Ugh. After reading some stuff today, I just remembered why I stopped following “autism communities” that gave parents the loudest voices and the most credibility.
Sometimes it makes me upset enough to want to create some kind of autistic-only space where those of us who have experienced things…
I was once part of a tiny community that dealt with those issues. Not to prove they existed. Just so people could discuss them. I wasn’t a moderator then but I’ve thought of reviving it many times over the years and have the the previous moderator’s permission. I’ve just never had the time and energy to get it off the ground again. Maybe someday. And if I do, I’ll tell you.
