In my QPOC class I started seeing the language I’d see on tumblr all the time: “white privilege,” “cis-sexism,” “microaggressions,” “POC,” “WOC,” the definitions of racism and sexism as only targeting POC and women respectively, etc. And I discovered the community organizers…

With all due respect, though, should the social justice movement on the internet be using arcane language that their fellow internet goers can’t understand?  Understand that I’m all for social justice, but what you guys are doing is the internet equivalent of Jehovah’s Witnesses handing out pamphlets on the street; the people who need to listen to you in order to bring about a positive change already don’t want to, and using words that the average layman doesn’t understand is not going to make them relate to your cause more.

Just sayin’.
