So I get woken up at seven someting innthenmorning

So that this med student from hell can try to talk me into not having the procedure or something.

I got to pick up the phone and talk to this idiot and point out that the only other “alternative” is death, and that a feeding tube is standard medical practice in circumstances like this. He even had the audacity to call it “sensations” of aspiration, to which I pointed out that you don’t get a cat scan with the ground glass look (a look that indicates among other things, crud in the lungs) unless you have actual aspiration, not merely the sensation of aspiration.
Then I called the nurse, said youneedacat was a major disability activist, that the people going into her room to try to talk her into death were causing her distress, and that there would be a picket line a mile long if this continued.
I also notified Not Dead Yet by e-mail that this was happening to the creator of “In My Language”
I did find out something very curious, though, that I need to research. I may have proof they not only tried to deny her admission because she was autistic, that she still has a very odd status at that hospital. I will be going down there this afternoon and the first thing I will do is demand to see the records of this hospitalization. It may be time to add angry phone calls to the hospital to the prayers come Monday morning. (the switchboard # is 802-847-0000 FYI, though you won’t be able to find her in the directory for reasons of privacy. Not a problem because come Monday the hospital administration will surely know who we are).

reblog going again so you can see her entire post without having to lclick on it, it’s worth reading, WTF Mind you. He didn’t want me to call her. He tried to squirm out of me calling her with him in the room. I didn’t let him. Obviously. I’m very curious to know WTF they’ve been doing besides trying to deny me admission for being autistic, when they insisted I must have a staff escort 24/7 in order to be admitted even though I’ve spent over a month here with no such escort in the past.
