If it is any comfort — and it should be — what you are talking about is a known time in a person’s spiritual development. The classic that talks of this time is The Dark Night of the Soul, by St. John of the Cross. That’s where the above link goes.
It’s not ADD, it’s just, well, the dip in the road on the way you come to God.
