Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

“Everyone is going to have some pain with your incision. But I want your pain to be low enough that you can cough, reposition yourself, breathe deep, etc.”

Said to my roommate by a nurse just now. Nobody ever told me that. They just made my pain worse and worse and treated me like there was no real pain problem to begin with, trying to force me to do things that hurt me more. I was the one who said my pain should be good enough I could do those things without screaming and crying. They just encouraged me to do things even if they made me scream and cry.
