Well now I know what the local ER is like

Nasty woodworking injury. Hand laceration. Slipped with carving knife. Sucky end to an evening. :/ got 15 stitches and a bandage resembling a mitten. Trying to figure out how to sleep with hand like this. Ugh.

Ugh. I hope you’re okay. And I hope they gave you some kind of meds for that because that sounds like really gnarly pain, and we have a lot of nerves in our hands. Try to remember this will probably be worse than your dental work to get used to in some ways. Given that it is an actual injury and your entire body will be gearing up to fight infection and repair it. You might feel weird or sick or woozy or faint for quite awhile.
