For me, the most important parts have to come from outside words. But not because of how my brain works or anyone else’s brain works. More about how the world works. There’s a point past which regardless of neurology, words and other symbols hurt instead of help. But it’s not about textures either. It’s about an entire part of the world that can’t be entered through words.

But either way – I agree that deriving this stuff from principles doesn’t work. At all. If you’re doing that, you’re not doing the same thing. At all. It’s not a matter of personal preference. It’s a matter of things don’t and can’t work that way. It’s a matter of these things aren’t the same no matter how some people want them to be. They aren’t, won’t be, can’t be, can’t work like that, no matter how you try to repeat that they’re really getting at the same thing. And it’s impossible for them to be the same. And it seems like some people really badly want them to be. But no matter how much they push ideas around in their head to force them to be the same, they won’t ever be. There is no comparison. They’re too different. Anyone who thinks conventional ethics and philosophy has anything to do with it, that a convenient name can be slapped onto it, they’re missing a huge difference that can’t be erased.
