Oh geez. Bronchiectasis, yes.

This is why I have a sign on my door telling people with any sort of respiratory bug not to even knock let alone come in.

What I can’t stand are the ones who lie and try to come in anyway, saying they don’t really have a cold. One person told me she’d coughed four times that day. Then came in and spent the entire ten minutes I was in the bathroom, coughing. And she had a cold. And was pretending to be over it. And got all pissy when I ordered her out of the house.

It’s like what part of increased risk of frigging pneumonia don’t these people understand? And with bronchiectasis it’s a vicious cycle. Every time you get a severe enough lung infection, it can make the bronchiectasis worse, and then every time the bronchiectasis gets worse, it makes you more susceptible to infection and a harder time clearing it. The end story is you die if that goes far enough. So I’d rather not die.
