Speaking to Disability News Service (DNS), he said: “If (farmers) have a misshapen lamb, they get rid of it. They get rid of it. Bang! If you go to a farmer’s funeral there is not a lot of weeping because they are used to life and death. It is something they deal with on a daily basis.” The 68-year-old’s views were universally condemned. Mark Gatiss, the League of Gentleman and Sherlock star, tweeted a link to reports, adding: “A Nazi. Disgusting.”

They investigate such statements by police over there for that kind of hate speech? Here they make them professors in our most esteemed universities, give them opportunities to write for our best newspapers, and treat their detractors as if there’s something wrong or un-progressive about us for thinking of it as horrible. Yeah I’m looking at you, Peter Singer.

I’m also glad the newspaper made the connection with euthanasia. Because as much as people want to separate them, in the world as it stands right now, you can’t have voluntary euthanasia without involuntary murder of disabled people. If one is possible the other happens – already happens places where it’s legal, hell even in places where it’s not legal. And making one legal is often a step towards making the other legal – soon you get people claiming to be able to speak on behalf of their disabled children, their disabled parents, etc., and it’s terrible.
