I think I love pyridostigmine.
I still haven’t raised my dose more, because I have to see my doctor first. But I can already see some stuff happening that’s really amazing.
Most of which is I can walk around the house without falling. I can’t remember the last time I could do that. Even when I was getting perfectly good nutrition.
More than that. I can sometimes walk quickly. Not run. But walk quickly. Without wearing out my legs.
This is all just bathroom trips and trips to the freezer for my butt pills. I don’t expect to suddenly be able to stay out of bed all the time. But this is much more than I could do recently without going floppy. And I’ve had no reason to expect such a reversal at all. In fact, I was so focused on pyridostigmine helping my gut issues (no such luck) that I didn’t notice what it had done for me otherwise until I noticed myself walking around with no floppiness or leg pain or falling.
I think it’s doing other things too. I have more energy in general. But it’s definitely seeming to help with the walking around the house.
