OMG that was terrible. I felt extremely nauseated and like my stomach was way more full than it should be. So full I was definitely going to throw up and no amount of nausea meds would work. So when I went to the bathroom, I brought my burp cup with me and emptied my G tube while I was using the bathroom. And. This is more stomach fluid than I normally get out in an entire day. I just got it out in about half an hour. This doesn’t count the almost equally huge amount I got a couple hours ago. And a fairly large amount this morning and evening. What is happening!? Is this my gastroparesis getting worse, so this stuff can’t drain adequately out of my stomach? Is this just a bad day? Am I suddenly producing some fluid (bile, stomach acid, something more disturbing?) in large amounts? WTF? It was like I started getting more stuff out. And then for a few days got almost nothing and wondered what was happening. And then got more out. Then less again. Then today, this. I’ve been dealing with a lot of nausea today because of this. This takes time to drain. This isn’t some chore I can do just before my morning and evening meds. This is work of its own. I got tired sitting up on the toilet to do it. Tired holding the cup. Muscles got sore. Just doing this. I hope this isn’t a trend, because I don’t want to have to attach a bag to this tube and have it draining constantly. But I know that at least for now it’s done. Because at the end a whole lot of air came out then nothing, and then my stomach felt empty. I hope it’s not my imagination that my stomach is already starting to fill up again though. I’m also nervous about what this stuff is. The doctor didn’t seem nervous, but I can’t figure out what in my stomach is supposed to be that deep brownish orange color. They said it’s not dark enough to be blood. But I have too much imagination. Ugh. I’m not happy with the whole thing where my gastroparesis is severe enough to make me nauseated, not from food, but from the natural contents of my stomach.
