I need to stop being afraid to fire nurses who hate me.

I just did it again.

And every instinct in me from being in the system says simply firing two nurses will get me labeled a troublemaker, that this will be horrible for me, etc.

Except it’s also horrible when your assigned nurse is both incompetent and mean. I realized that at some point she could easily meddle in ways that would risk my life.

It’s true though that they’ll now consider me a problem client. Because they’re built for the convenience of administrators first nurses second staff third disabled people last. And I’ve seen what they do to people they consider problem clients. But I’ve also seen what they do to people they think they can walk all over. It’s a difficult choice.
