 Trying to find the right words: I totally get why they are cute

Guinea pigs are adorable. But the ones I’ve met seem to not really want to interact with humans and to be terrified and want to hide. I kind of feel bad for them.

Don’t understand them as companion…

Fey wants to be around me too. And if I end up in the hospital, when I come home she won’t let me out of her sight. It’s not that cats aren’t social, or that guinea pigs aren’t social, it’s about building a relationship with one you’re compatible with.
