My special ed high school. Where we did not get academic diplomas. Actually one amazing teacher made us read dystopias and discuss them. And would not end the discussions until one of us would make…
I know what you mean. I only have ever had a handful of teachers that I could truly say taught me anything truly outstanding. And they were usually oddly enough pretty hard-ass. Like McGonnagal kind of. But they were also the ones who believed we could do it.
