FINALLY GOT THE DRAINAGE BAG!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully this will reduce the amount of aspiration I get at night. It’s got an accordion thing you squeeze and it sucks the drainage in through a tube attached to my g tube. So it basically constantly drains stomach fluid. Which I know is kind of disgusting, but better in a bag than in my lungs. You can actually sit and watch the fluid move through the tubes. My friend was telling me how this is exactly the sort of thing people dread – having tubes pulling stuff out of them and other tubes putting stuff in. But it doesn’t feel bad or anything. Feels much less bad than aspirating, certainly.
