Some of my facial hair. This is part of the reason people sometimes do the are you a girl or a guy thing to me. It’s obviously not the most huge amount, but it’s more than people expect for someone with boobs and it confuses people. For some reason I have an intense attachment to my body hair. I’ve always had more of it than people expected. And a unibrow. And I have never had the ability to stand cutting or shaving or plucking it out. Which led to a lot of arguments with family members over the years. I don’t experience it as tied to gender because I don’t experience gender. But I do experience it as tied to who I am, in ways I can’t explain or defend. I can’t stand the idea of removing it, even as in other ways I’m trying to “look respectable”. I have a limit and that’s one of them. My gynecologist has always brought it up but she kept testing me for hormonal differences and coming up blank even when my period s stopped in my twenties.
