Somebody with far more legal knowledge than I should compile a list of what rights you lose once you’ve been committed to a psychiatric facility.

I probably can’t even read that list without being seriously triggered, much less contribute…

The last time I was, they were making a woman beg like a dog for cigarettes, coffee, water, and clean socks. And she did. And they laughed.

  19. mh-things said: The main thing is that you lose the right to refuse treatment and can be held and treated against your will, you SHOULD still have all the other rights any patient has although obviously that doesn’t always happen.
