Can anyone explain why going nonverbal isn’t something you can just avoid by practicing what you’re going to say first? I went nonverbal for about two hours trying to talk to my ex last night (couldn’t even manage to type), and she was super understanding, but when I tried to complain to my bestie…
Because it’s a motor and sensory problem, and sometimes a cognitive problem too (speech and typing are different parts of the brain for instance, and language at all can just disappear too). Not a lack of preparation problem.
