Yep that’s why even though I think fetuses are human beings (it’s pure rhetoric and ideology to pretend they’re somehow not), I don’t think their rights should ever trump the rights of the person whose womb they’re in. If it’s your womb, you have a total right to evict anyone in there you want to. Because it’s your body and nobody should force anyone to live in it that you haven’t agreed to live in it. Killing a fetus is killing but it’s not the same as killing a person who has been born and who isn’t taking up space inside someone else’s body. It’s completely okay with me.

And I can’t stand the ideological bullshit that says I have to pretend it’s not a human or that it’s not killing in order to believe abortion is okay and should be legal for anyone anywhere. It’s bullshit. It’s making up a story in place of reality because it makes it easier to stomach what is happening. Honestly I think all supporters of abortion rights should be able to stomach it on the grounds that the person whose womb it is, is the person who gets to decide who lives in it (or doesn’t). It shouldn’t require all these rhetorical tricks to make it more tolerable.

And abortion rights supporters like me who acknowledge the reality need to quit being shit on just because we don’t use all the proper language and ideology or something. Abortion rights shouldn’t require ideology, it should just require the understanding “my womb, my choice" period without having to remember to fetus instead of baby or child, or bundle of cells instead of human or person. And if you give me crap over this, kindly screw off, I don’t need you in my life telling me I need to use exactly your language or ideology just because I’m in your side. I’m far too my-particular-kind-of-autistic to handle that kind of nonsense or get all my words right so don’t you dare pounce on me when I support the right to choose as much as you do if not more. Defensive? Hell yeah, been treated like a monster by people supposedly on my side too often.
