I don’t know why…I’m a sucker for punishment, I…

Oh for cripes sake I don’t even have words for how much I can’t stand people who discuss DD people that way. As if we aren’t listening. And as if, when we say we are listening, we must be so different from who they are talking about. (I’m not like Ashley but people say those exact exact same things about me personally specifically all the damn time. I’m autistic and have also been diagnosed with developmental disorder NOS and a boatload of health problems.

People say this crapola in front of my face. It’s wrong. It would be just as wrong if I didn’t understand it.

But don’t ever assume we don’t - read Anne McDonald if you want the viewpoint of someone with conditions nearly identical to Ashley, who experienced involuntary growth problems due to neglect in an institution. She strongly preferred to grow back to her normal size, which happened after she got out.
