Does anyone treating Lyme with IV antibiotics feel nauseous from the IV meds?

I can’t seem to keep down my oral antibiotics and I’m wondering if an IV or even a PICC line would help me avoid it.

I don’t have Lyme but I’ve taken lots of antibiotics in lots of ways. So I can tell you some things.

An IV or a PICC will not stop the nausea. I’ve had antibiotics orally, by feeding tube into my jejunum (currently on that), IV, and PICC.

Every single one of them sucks donkey balls.

Every single one of them will make you feel nauseated. If the dose is high enough, then as the antibiotics travel through your veins you will feel as if each individual part of your body is wilting and dying.

But it WILL keep you from throwing them up. Because your veins can’t vomit. You may vomit still but since the meds aren’t in your stomach, you’ll still benefit from them. Unlike vomiting pills.

(My problem is any vomiting sets off neuromuscular problems and puts me at risk of aspiration, so even IV or PICC can hurt me.)
