I might be being nitpicky, but I’m thinking about how my friend said the only reason I’m sick all the time is because I believe I’m sick and…
I don’t think any amount of believing will straighten my spine or take the arthritis out of my joints. Nor do I think any amount of wishing will make my autism go away and make me a neurotypical person. I may have once thought it was possible to think problems away, but that’s just not how it works.
That’s not nitpicky.
What your friend said was horrible.
