I somehow have to get 951 words out of this manuscript. Word limits are going to be the death of me.

Yuck.

I can never seem to be either more concise than I am, not more wordy than I am. I write what I write.

To lower or raise my word count takes huge amounts of effort. As in, enough it’s left me literally slamming my head on walls. Until I halfway went blind, with giant yellow blotches in my visual field.

And still the results were not good enough. Whether for teachers, or for strangers in the internet who were calling me a spoiled brat who refused to try hard enough.
