Yeah. I only see the idea if autism as relevant when it helps you get services, helps you understand yourself, or helps people with things in common come together.

I get really angry when people start making a huge deal about who counts as autistic and who doesn’t, which kind of autistic people are better or more deserving than others, or play more autistic than thou head games. Because it takes away from the only useful functions of the word. And it drives people apart and makes them afraid to speak up or seek answers about themselves. All to satisfy the egos and insecurities of a few screwed up autistic people or parents.
