davidhulen: We’ve spent time in the Northern California coastal redwoods, but never experienced them like we did a couple weeks ago when we were visiting. This is on a ridge trail in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park north of Arcata and adjacent to Redwoods NP. Linda is the tiny blue person in the photo. This was 3-4 hours into a hike, no one around (we only ran I to a couple people on the trail), and we just came across this grove of unbelievable giants in amazing afternoon light. We’re still talking about it.
