Does anyone know of discussions by disabled people about the Morgan Freeman (maybe — could be a misattribution) quote about attacking people with disabilities being the lowest display of power? Not just endless repetitions of said quote with absolutely no commentary at all, which is what Google…
That reminds me of how so many people respond to certain very specific attacks on disabled people (sometimes just cognitively disabled people) with “this is uniquely bad because they can’t even defend themselves, poor things”.
Never mind our long, long history of defending ourselves since before there was even a formal disability rights movement. Because often nobody else is there else us, so we have to.
