I’ve seen entire flame wars start over whether male autistic people or female autistic people have it worse.
I’ve also seen some autistic guys take it as an insult that (biologically, because that’s all they care about, I’ve even seen the worst offender ruthlessly mock autistic trans men) female autistic people (appear to be) more common on the internet, and suggest that we aren’t really autistic, or that our opinions and experiences see less valuable, just because (official, sexist) statistics suggest there are more autistic men (except women are more likely to be considered severe, than not, or something).
