Another confusing set of things I heard about sexuality as a teen

“Nobody is really bi. Everyone rely leans towards straight or gay.”

“Everyone is bi. No matter how attracted you are to people of one sex, you are still attracted to at least some people of the other.”

(And yes, I know there’s more than three orientations. This is just what I heard.)

This, by the way, is why sometimes I want to make a giant pile of all the words in the world, and create a bonfire that will destroy them forever.

Because seriously that entire conflict is about words and ideas, not about who people really are. And it’s the people, that are important.
