My second painting today. Assorted colors and patterns: green and yellow dots, lavender curlicue, and lots of other things. The background is brown over blue, and in some places the brown is scratched through to show the blue. Someone said the abstract patterns trembled a peacock in places. Acrylic on paper. I didn’t set out to paint anything in particular, but all three ended up reflecting things I wrote about recently.  That is, the way I perceive the outside world by listening with skill if my senses and finding (sensory, not intellectual) patterns between them. It isn’t really the obvious subjects of the paintings that reflect this, but something about the style Note: my paintings don’t photograph well.  In real life, they have many layers of color, and the colors themselves look different. Even when professionally photographed, people working for galleries have told me they were pleasantly surprised by the actual paintings as opposed to the photos they were sometimes shown first.
