since it ignores trans* people’s own self-descriptions in favor of an external ~measurement~

and certainly doesn’t acknowledge trans* people who don’t see themselves as “X binary-gendered brain in X…

Yeah, there’s a lot of dogma about being trans that bugs me.

Another one:

“You’re not trans (or not a certain kind of trans) unless not doing __________ makes you ready to commit suicide.”

So trans people who make conscious choices to do something else, or resolve their suicidal feelings some other way, are automatically a different sort of trans person?

I have a really really really bad problem with someone who defines whether you are a certain kind of person (trans, disabled, etc.) By what kind of choices they make our what political views they have. That’s basically saying that sort of person had no free will and will always make the same choices or have the same opinions.
