Kitty massage

Fun fact!  This action is called “snurgling".

It’s a kitten’s way of stimulating mommy to make milk… some cats never stop doing it and will even snurgle things like fleecy blankets or stuffed animals or your leg/tummy

We call it “making biscuits" cause it looks like they are kneading dough!

We totally call it making biscuits in our house. 

I have never known anyone to call it “snurgling"; most books I’ve read call it “kneading.“

There are scent glands in their paws, so they’re marking you/the stuff as theirs. It is also a calming thing for them to do, and an indicator that they are feeling calm and contented.

My cat does it to my legs or any blanket that smells like me. Not so much to my husband, though she lived with him first.
