The runner beans have also been just quickly dropping their flowers instead of setting pods, with the heat lately. They’re still pretty to look at, at least.
These are ‘Hestia’ dwarf runners, sharing a planter with some climbing Octobers (‘Lingua di Fuoco’/’Tongue of Fire’) which are doing great. Different species suited to different weather, yeah.
