I used to work with a preschooler who had a speech disorder.
They (and their friend, who didn’t have a speech disorder) called necklaces “neckles" and particularly liked when I wore my locket (which had no photos in it) because they liked opening and closing it.
“Can I play with your neckle?”
(This kid wasn’t autistic. They just had a speech disorder.)
