Just last week I happened to be awake at 3 am and heard “go away, stop it" from outside my apartment window. Of course I was worried and wound up going outside with my cell phone and my pocket knife (the cell phone so I could pretend I was on…

And do all the same things even when the guy puts on a show for women that he’s a sweet geeky harmless guy.

I remember describing this whole I knew as a womanizer, because that’s what he was. He was constantly taking advantage of women, stringing them along, often several at once without telling them, was described by HIS FRIEND as “a pathological liar obsessed by women", the lying also involved making himself into whoever the woman wouldn’t suspect of anything and would see, until she got to know him, as her dream guy. He couldn’t last long, people discovered he was a creeper soon enough. At least one woman took out a restraining order.

But this guy who didn’t know this guy at all and barely knew me, said “he can’t be a womanizer, he seems quiet and geeky".

As if all womanizers are big buff loud frat boys? ? ? ? ?

Same guy told me “he won’t be obsessed with you anymore, he’s married". As if marriage is some kind of magical binding spell that keeps people from thinking of anyone else.

I can’t even handle that level of naivete about which kind of people can be like this. That kind of naivete about a skinny nerdy sweet looking guy nearly led to a friend of mine getting raped. Neither she nor her mom suspected him because he didn’t fit the profile of a rapist. But he still tried, and emotionally manipulated the fuck out of her when she tried to fight him off.

Don’t let your guard down around someone just because they don’t seem the type. Sometimes the very worst ones have a sweet innocent personas they adopt to lure people in and keep anyone from suspecting them.

Seriously I can’t emphasize this enough. Loud drunken frat boy
types can be like this, but so can guys who go out of their way to appear sweet, innocent, harmless, and childlike. And the second type can get into your life much farther at times because your guard is down. And that’s how they want it.

This is why I find men who act really childish and innocent to be more triggering than other types. Because I’ve had waaay too many bad experiences with guys who clearly thought that they couldn’t ever do anything creepy or hurtful to women, even while they were actively doing that shit.

Some of them even know what they’re doing. They adopt that persona because they know it puts people off their guard. If something else put people off their guard even better, they’d be that, too or instead.
